Assheton Arms
Stephen and I are not traditional style people so a hotel-wedding is not a choice. What we want for our wedding is a casual and fun atmosphere in an unconventional place where we could still enjoy the natural landscape and the countryside look. We think Assheton Arms could give us a bit of relaxing environment with the best food offering.
The location is about half an hour away from the Fisherman's Retreat where the wedding ceremony takes place. After the ceremony, there will be a coach which will take you to the pub and it's where the fun bit will begin.
Multi-award Winning Restaurant
Awards include Lancashire Life Dining Pub of the Year, Lancashire Tourism Awards Pub of the Year and Ribble Valley Tourism Team of the Year, this historic Grade II listed village pub is in the untouched conservation village of Downham.
Fine Food
Assheton Arms offer a variety of choice for the menu. But if you want something off-menu, or if you have your special choice of seafood or cut meat, I'm sure they won't let you down.
Accommodations
Assheton Arms’ accommodation in Downham opened in March 2015. Located in two cottages and the former post office in the Ribble Valley conservation village, 12 en-suite bedrooms with stunning views of Pendle Hill are available to book now.
